Double Wins for Pinegrove Girls
Pinegrove School, Solan is hosting the All India Indian Public Schools Conference Soccer Girls U-19 Tournament 2019 from 12th to 15th September in Dharampur location. Five teams of elite public schools from across the country are participating in the U-19 tournament. Pinegrove School is the defending Champion of the U-19 title.
The participating teams for U-19 tournament are from Daly College, Indore, MP; Mayo College Girls School, Ajmer, Rajasthan; The Assam Valley School, Assam; Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior and Pinegrove School, Solan, Himachal.
The Opening Ceremony at the Pinegrove School was a glittering event with all the participating teams doing the March Past in the floodlit stadium to the tunes of the School Band in perfect coordination and harmony.
The Chief Guest of the Opening Ceremony was Ms. Soumya Sambasivan, IPS, Commandant of the 3rd Indian Reserve Battalion Pandoh, Mandi. She was all praises for the warm and child-centered environment of the host school.
The opening match of the tournament was played between Daly College, Indore and Pinegrove School, Dharampur. The match finished at 3-0 in favor of Pinegrove School. Sirat of the winning side was declared the ‘Player of the Match’. In the match between Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior and Mayo College Girls School, Ajmer, the score card read 3-1in favour of Scindia. Diki Choden Bhuti of the winning side walked away with the ‘Player of the Match’ award. In the other match between The Assam Valley School, Assam and Pinegrove School, Solan, the girls from Pinegrove continued their winning streak by beating their opponents with 3-0. Dikki Sherpa Pasang of the winning side got the ‘Player of the Match’ award.
