In Himachal Pradesh, the Chief Minister has instructed to suspend the implementation of the period-based guest teacher recruitment policy until further orders. CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukkhu announced the decision, emphasizing that a detailed discussion on the matter will take place only after the return of the Education Minister to Shimla. Singh mentioned that the policy would be implemented after thorough consideration. The Chief Minister shared this information with journalists during a conversation at the state secretariat on Saturday. He clarified that guest teachers would be paid on an hourly basis according to the period, and there would be no permanent recruitment on a monthly or annual basis; guest teacher recruitment is temporary.
