Sonia returns for making ground for her daughter Priyanka !
The Congress Working Committee failed in picking a chief outside the Nehru-Gandhi family that has led it for most of its 130 year old history. As per the sources, many names were discussed for the name of new party chief, but end result was as expected.
Now the party said it will pick a new president when its plenary session is held later this year.
The return of Sonia Gandhi as interim congress president indicates that next congress president will from Gandhi family only, probably Priyanka Gandhi. Right now Priyanka is the general secretary of congress and she has not resigned from her post when her brother Rahul took responsibility of Lok Sabha election defeat and resigned as Congress chief.
Captain Amarinder Singh called it the best decision in current circumstances.
