Mount Everest Climber Amit Kumar Negi calls on Chief Minister
Mount Everest Climber Amit Kumar Negi called on Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur here today and shared his experiences with the Chief Minister that he has faced during Everest expedition. Chief Minister appreciated his feat and said that this was an inspiration to the young generations. He said that it was a matter of pride for all of us that youth were coming forward to face the uphill challenges boldly thereby bringing laurels to the State.
Amit Kumar Negi, hails from Kinnaur district of the State, has climbed the IMF Mount Everest in May, 2021. Earlier he had also undertaken Pre-Everest Expedition through NCC to Deo-Tibba with effect from 30th May, 2012 to 6th July, 2012. He had also climbed Mount Trishul and attended the Alpine Climbing Camp from 7th to 26th January this year. Secretary Youth Services and Sports S.S. Guleria was also present on the occasion.
