1350 crore package announced for Jammu and Kashmir
After becoming the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha has made several announcements for the state for the first time today. Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha announced a relief package for the state on Saturday. He announced an economic package of Rs 1,350 crore for the businessmen of Jammu and Kashmir facing the crisis.
Announcing the relief package, Manoj Sinha said that I am happy to announce an economic package of Rs 1,350 crore for the businessmen of the state facing financial difficulties. This is in addition to the benefits of self-reliant India and other measures to facilitate traders.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also announced a 50 percent discount on electricity and water bills for one year. Apart from this, in the case of all loan holders in Jammu and Kashmir, exemption in stamp duty has been given till March 2021. The J&K Bank will set up a custom health-tourism scheme to provide financial assistance to the people in the tourism sector with good pricing repayment options.
It has been decided to pay 5% interest to each borrower in the business community unconditionally for six months in the current financial year. Lt. Governor said that it would be a big relief and create employment in the state.
