India's Covid-19 tally crosses 14-lakh mark
With a record spike of over 50,000 fresh infecions, the coronavirus cases in India passed the 14 Lakh mark.
India set yet another single-day spike record with 49,931 fresh cases and 708 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of COVID-linked deaths to 32,771.
On the other hand, the recovery rate climbed to 63.92% with the record number of over 36,000 recovered patients, taking the total number of recovries to 8,85,576.
The positivity rate - percentage of patients who have tested positive for coronavirus - stood at 9.68 per cent.
The cases in India has crossed the 14 Lakh mark only two weeks after the country reported 1 lakh cases.
The country had crossed the one-lakh mark on May 19.
It took only two weeks for the cases to double.
