49 celebrities have written letter to PM

49 celebrities have written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi claiming intolerance in the nation is increasing. In the letter dated to 23rd July 2019, the group of celebrities from various professions  stated that they are 'deeply concerned' about a number of tragic events that have been happening in the country in recent times.

Anurag Kashyap, Shyam Benegal, Ramchandra Guha, Maniratnam, Ketan Mehta are concerned about intolerance 

 

 The letter claims that 'Jai Sri Ram' has become a provocative 'war-cry', leading to law and order problems. Letter states that the name of Ram is sacred to many majority communities in India.
