Pinegrove Contingent Scales Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania
Braving the steep climb and extremely harsh climate conditions in the course of reaching the summit a team of eight students, including two girls, led by Cdr Navneet Singh Nagi, Head of Administration, Pinegrove School, District Solan scaled Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain peak of the African continent in Tanzania. The challenging expedition tested the courage, perseverance and endurance of the contingent. The team comprising, Harbakhshish Singh Ranu, Krishna Gulati, Uday Bajaj, Smarth Kansal, Udaynavneet Singh Nagi, Ananya Mamgain and Aastha Negi started the climb using the Machame route on 29th September and successfully hoisted the National Flag and School banner on the 5785 meter high Uhuru Peak at 7 am on 4th October. The contingent was accorded a rousing welcome at School for their exceptional effort.
